A Legacy of Public Service with Common Sense Ideals

A great thing about Ohio is our hometown sense of value, where we serve our community and take care of others. Ohioans aspire for educational and business excellence, and we work together to leave a legacy where things are better than we found them…everything we do today is preparing for the future ahead.

Lisa was born in Columbus and moved to West Mansfield, OH, in 1972 when her mother and stepfather bought a dairy farm with 60 cows and 120 acres of hay, corn and soybeans. She is the oldest sibling with four brothers and four sisters. Growing up on the farm meant feeding calves and milking cows from a young age, driving tractors and making hay every summer, and working from sunup to sundown to take care of the family.

Small-town life was built on the cooperation, ingenuity, and can-do spirit that Lisa learned from her family, teachers, friends and neighbors at school and church, especially the local farmers and small business owners. She grew up watching community leaders make a difference through their actions, however small, to serve others.
